Angel’s Billabong, a famous Bali attraction, is a stunning rock formation beside Broken Beach on Nusa Penida’s southwest tip. Both locations provide views of immaculate coasts and stunning cliffs. A pathway leads to a natural rock lagoon that offers a stunning ocean view and a comfortable bathing area on the island. Start by exploring Broken Beach, where you can see the clear blue waters with natural limestone arches. From the beach, follow a trail (marked with signposts) to Angel’s Billabong. If you feel brave, you can swim around the lagoon or take a dip in one of the rock pools.

How to Get to the Billabong of Angel

To reach Angel’s Bilabong, you must ship to Nusa Penida quickly from several ports on mainland Bali. Every day, fast boats operate between Nusa Penida and Kusamba, Padang Bai in East Bali, and Sanur in South Bali. Tickets are available at the pier and depart at least once daily, costing IDR 175,000 per person each way. The journey takes 40–50 minutes depending on weather and tides; in bad weather, this journey can be di fficult. Renting a scooter to explore the island is around IDR 70,000, you can go di rectly to the pier, but the road has potholes and requires more energy.. As long as you enjoy riding motorcycles and are not in a hurry, you should be alright.

The meandering streets and natural scenery will accompany you on your journey. To go to Angel’s Bilabong, you must go through Banjar Sumpang and ask locals because the place is still di fficult to find. Once you get at the parking area, you must proceed down the pathway towards the cliffs, where you will see signposts pointing the way down the steps to Angel’s Bilabong.

What to Expect at Angel’s Billabong

When you arrive at Angel’s Billabong, you will find a car park on the cliffs. A parking fee of 10,000 IDR is required. As you walk down from the parking lot, you will see signposts guiding you to Angel’s Bilabong. These signs ensure you do not get lost.

There are several viewpoints at Angel’s Billabong. However, most visitors go down to the infinity pool. When you reach the pool, you will see crystal-clear water with emerald hues. It looks stunning! Imagine relaxing there. We wish we were at Angel’s Billabong right now!

Best time to visit Angel’s Billabong

Angel’s Billabong is a beach area, so the best time to visit is during the dry season, from April to October. The ideal months are July to September when there is little to no rain.

Even during the dry season, always follow the guide’s advice before heading down to the pond. Swimming at Angel’s Billabong is only allowed at specific times. The waters of the open Indian Ocean can be rough. Stay cautious and enjoy your visit.

Angel’s Billabong Entrance Ticket

There is no entrance fee to visit Angel’s Billabong and beach; however, parking costs IDR 5,000 only. Also, the payment should be in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), so please bring some modest cash with you.
